Andhra to pay ₹75,000 to SC/ST brides for intercaste marriage

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday launched a welfare scheme to provide ₹75,000 to SC/ST brides for marrying a groom from a different caste. Brides from Other Backward Classes (OBC) will get ₹50,000 for intercaste marriages. Further, SC/ST brides will get ₹40,000 if they marry within their own community, while OBC brides will get ₹30,000 for the same.
