Android 14 to block outdated apps to reduce malware risk: Report

Android 14 will introduce stricter API rules to block the installation of outdated apps to reduce malware risk, 9to5Google reported. As per the report, Android 14 will block users from sideloading apps that target outdated versions of Android and will also block app stores from allowing such apps. Reportedly, apps targeting very old Android versions will be blocked initially.
