Anjani Kumar, 1990-batch IPS officer, takes over as Telangana DGP

Anjani Kumar, a 1990-batch IPS officer, took charge as the new Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana on Saturday. Hailing from Bihar, Kumar has previously served as the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad and the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). He succeeded M Mahendar Reddy, who retired from service upon reaching superannuation.
