Ankush beats reigning world champ Erkinboev to reach men's 80kg boxing final at Asiad

India's Ankush Panghal advanced to the men's 80kg boxing final at the Asian Games 2026 after defeating reigning world champion Fazliddin Erkinboev on Tuesday. The 21-year-old beat the Uzbekistani boxer 4-1 via a split decision in the semi-final. Ankush had earlier defeated Tajikistan's Nekruz Salimov 5-0 in the quarter-finals.
