Annamalai says 7-day fasting could cure cancer; DMK calls him 'dumb'

BJP leader K Annamalai, speaking at a gathering in Puducherry, claimed that fasting for seven days a year could destroy cancer cells, saying they require seven times more energy than normal cells. He suggested cutting off this energy supply would kill all the cancer cells in the body. DMK MP Saravanan Annadurai reacted to the remarks, calling Annamalai "dumb."
