Annamalai steps down as BJP poll in-charge before TN elections

Ahead of Assembly polls, ex-Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai stepped down as the party's election in-charge for six Assembly constituencies. "I won't be able to carry out my responsibilities...since my father is unwell...and I've to care for him," he said. However, reports said that Annamalai was upset about being assigned responsibility for only six out of 234 Assembly seats.
