Anonymous AI model linked to DeepSeek revealed to be from Xiaomi

An AI model that appeared anonymously on a developer platform last week, initially suspected to be DeepSeek testing its next-generation V4, was revealed to be from Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi. Hunter Alpha, which was described as a "stealth model", was an "early internal test build of MiMo-V2-Pro", Xiaomi's Luo Fuli-led AI model team MiMo said. Luo is an ex-DeepSeek researcher.
