Anthropic acquires 9-person biotech startup for $400 mn: Report

Anthropic has acquired Coefficient Bio in a deal worth over $400 million in stock, The Information reported on Friday. Coefficient Bio is a US-based biotech startup founded in 2025 that works on AI models for biological research and reportedly has a total workforce of 10 employees. They are joining Anthropic's health care life sciences team led by Eric Kauderer-Abrams.
