Anthropic CPO exits Figma board as AI firm enters design space

Mike Krieger, Instagram Co-founder and chief product officer at Anthropic, resigned from the board of interface design company Figma on April 14. His departure was disclosed the same day when a report surfaced claiming Anthropic's model, Opus 4.7, will include design tools that could compete with Figma's primary offering. Notably, on April 17, Anthropic launched Claude Design for visual works.
