Anthropic issues 8,000 takedown requests after Claude code leak

Anthropic is working to contain the fallout after a recent release exposed parts of the internal source code for Claude Code. Anthropic issued a takedown request under US copyright law to force the removal of around 8,100 copies and adaptations of the raw Claude Code instructions on GitHub. This also included legitimate forks of Anthropic's own public Claude Code repository.
