Anthropic reveals bugs that made Claude Code seem 'dumber'

Anthropic has published a post-mortem report after users complained that Claude Code had become "dumber" and that its responses had worsened over the past month. The report cited issues with reasoning settings, caching and verbosity as the cause of the drop in performance. "We never intentionally degrade our models...all three issues have now been resolved," the company said.
