Anthropic's Mythos wiped out bank accounts: US Congressman on 'scary' demo

US Congressman and House Homeland Security Committee Chair Andrew Garbarino said a private demonstration of Anthropic's most powerful AI model, Mythos, "scared" him. "They told the model to find a vulnerability in a bank and empty accounts, and then it went and did it," Garbarino said. He added that the model later patched the vulnerability.
