Anti-NATO protest launched in Turkey ahead of summit, 100 detained

Over 100 people were detained after Communist Party of Turkey organised anti-NATO protests around the country ahead of the summit in Ankara on July 7 and 8. The protesters rallied against NATO's push on member states to increase their military spending, alleging the money would be used to fund wars. Turkey will host leaders from 32 countries during the summit.
