Anyone can now create AI pics from Instagram photos, feature sparks backlash

The new AI-powered image generator, Muse Image, launched by Meta on Instagram and WhatsApp, will now let anyone create AI-generated images from public photos posted on Instagram. A user only has to mention the account's username after an '@' to pull their photos into Muse Image and generate AI images. The feature has triggered widespread backlash over privacy threats.
