Apple App Store made $1 trillion in developer sales in 2022: Study

Apple's App Store ecosystem facilitated $1.1 trillion in developer billings and sales in 2022, according to a study by Analysis Group economists. Over 90% of billings and sales are accrued solely to developers and businesses, without any commission paid to Apple. Small developers surpassed large developers with revenue growth of 71% between 2020 and 2022, the study added.
