App to track movement of elephants launched in Jharkhand

In a bid to reduce human-elephant conflicts, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren launched a mobile app-based elephant movement tracking system on Friday. Speaking on the occasion of the 74th Van Mahotsav in Ranchi, Soren said, "Our priority is to protect elephants as well as humans." Tracking elephants will allow precautionary measures to be taken in advance, an official said.
