Apple, Broadcom sign $30-billion deal for US-made chips

Apple and Broadcom have signed a $30 billion multi-year deal to design and produce over 15 billion custom chips in US. As part of the deal, Broadcom will invest $1.5 billion to help expand its manufacturing facility in US' Colorado. This marks Apple's largest investment commitment as part of its American Manufacturing Program aimed at boosting US-based manufacturing.
