Apple AirPods can have built-in cameras, powered via infrared

Apple plans to integrate infrared cameras into AirPods by 2026, enhancing spatial audio experiences. These IR cameras, made by Foxconn, will enable precise head movement tracking, improving audio immersion and interaction with Vision Pro. New features, including head gestures and Personalized Spatial Audio, will be available with iOS 18 for all AirPods models this fall.
