Apple asks Trump to allow Chinese chips, US' Micron objects: Report

Apple has asked US President Donald Trump administration to let it use memory chips from blacklisted Chinese firms in products sold outside US, amid soaring memory prices, WSJ reported. However, US chipmaker Micron has opposed the plan, lobbying officials to block it. CEO Sanjay Mehrotra warned that allowing Chinese companies to sell to US tech companies could destroy domestic industry.
