Apple backs new music startup Gamma launched by ex-senior exec

Apple has backed a new music startup called Gamma, which has been launched by former Apple Music Global Creative Director Larry Jackson and veteran music executive Ike Youssef. Billionaire Todd Boehly's investment firm Eldridge has also invested in the startup. Gamma, which positions itself as an alternative to traditional record labels, reportedly has about $1 billion in capital.
