Apple cuts China App Store commission fees after govt pressure

Apple said it would lower the commission fees it collects from its App Store in mainland China following apparent pressure from the Chinese government, Reuters reported. Fees for in-app purchases and paid transactions will fall to 25% from 30% starting Sunday. The fee cut also extends to smaller developers and certain subscription services, with rates dropping to 12% from 15%.
