Apple developing own AI chips to run data centre servers: Report

Apple is developing its own chip designed to run AI software on data centre servers, The Wall Street Journal reported. The chips may help Apple in introducing some of the AI-based features that it reportedly plans to launch as part of iOS 18. The chip development project is internally called ACDC, or Apple Chips in Data Centre.
