Apple fined over ₹16,500 crore for breaking EU law over music streaming

European Union regulators fined Apple €1.84 billion (over ₹16,500 crore) for preventing rival music streaming services from telling iPhone users that they could find cheaper ways to subscribe outside of Apple's app store. "This is illegal under EU antitrust rules," EU antitrust chief Margrethe Vestager said. This is the first time that Apple has been penalised for breaching EU law.
