Apple halves App Store commission to 15% for small businesses

Apple has announced that small businesses and independent developers earning less than $1 million in annual sales will have to pay a reduced App Store commission of 15% starting January 2021. Apple has previously faced backlash over its App Store policy that requires developers to use Apple's payment system for in-app purchases and pay a 30% commission on each transaction.
