Apple may skip high-end M6 Mac chips, jump straight to M7: Report

Apple is expected to debut its M6 chip for entry-level Macs later this year but could skip releasing higher-end versions of the chip, marking the first such move, Bloomberg reported. Instead, the company could jump straight to the M7 generation, which will focus on powering AI. The report comes amid Apple hiking product prices, citing AI-fuelled memory chip shortages.
