Apple may source China-made iPhone parts after Tata unit fire: Report

Apple could set up another assembly line in China to secure iPhone parts for its India-based manufacturing after Tata Electronics' iPhone component plant in Tamil Nadu caught fire. Production at the plant, the only Indian supplier of iPhone back panels, has been suspended indefinitely after the incident. Apple, however, is likely to have stock for eight weeks, Reuters reported.
