Apple releases its background security update to fix bug

Apple has released a “background security improvement” update to fix a bug in its Safari web browser across iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The update, reportedly the first of its kind, delivers lightweight security releases for components and additional protections between software updates, the security advisory stated. Moreover, it only requires a quick device restart, instead of a longer reboot.
