Apple's iPhone 'kill switch' feature to now stay on by default
Apple will now keep the 'kill switch' for iPhone users, or the Stolen Device Protection feature, on by default on its devices. London Metropolitan Police said Apple has been testing the 'kill switch' feature with them after they campaigned for it for 2.5 years. The feature, which was originally launched in 2024, renders iPhones useless after they're reported stolen.
