Apple's new AI models are built with Google's Gemini

During WWDC 2026, Apple announced the next generation of Apple Intelligence, powered by a new architecture that integrates the latest Apple Foundation Models deeply into Apple’s platforms. The new AI capabilities are custom-built in collaboration with Google and its Gemini models. In January, Apple and Google entered into multi-year collaboration to power future Apple Intelligence features.
