Apple violated order, exec outright lied: Judge in Epic Games case

A US judge on Wednesday ruled that Apple willfully breached a 2021 order that prohibited the company from anticompetitive pricing in its App Store. Apple executive Alex Roman "outright lied under oath" to hide the truth, the judge said. The matter relates to Apple's dispute with Fortnite maker Epic Games, which claims Apple charged 27% commission even on off-app purchases.
