Apple warns users in 110 countries of mercenary spyware attacks

Apple has sent fresh threat notifications to users targeted by suspected mercenary spyware attacks in 110 countries globally. The alerts, which can appear on an iPhone lock screen, urge recipients to take immediate protective action. Apple recommends enabling Lockdown Mode and seeking expert help. Since 2021, the company has notified users in over 150 countries about such highly targeted attacks.
