Apple's new MacBook Pros do not make iconic startup chime

The new MacBook Pro laptops launched by Apple earlier this month, do not make the iconic chime while starting up. Apple had even filed a trademark for the sound. The new MacBook Pros boot up automatically when a user opens the lid, eliminating the need to press the power ON button.
