Apple's value equals GDP of 16th largest economy Indonesia

US consumer technology giant Apple's $1 trillion valuation is on par with the GDP of Indonesia, the 16th-largest economy in the world. Started in the garage of co-founder Steve Jobs in 1976, Apple's revenue has surpassed the economic outputs of countries including Portugal and New Zealand. Apple's stock has surged more than 50,000% since its 1980 initial public offering.
