Applications open to become the 'King' of a remote island in UK

A council is accepting applications for the next 'King' and pub landlord for one of England's most remote islands, Piel Island. The island has a tradition where the 'King of Piel' sits in an ancient chair, wears a helmet and holds a sword while alcohol is poured over their head. The council hopes to recruit the 'King' by April.
