Apply for a valid licence to operate cabs in Maharashtra: Bombay HC to Ola, Uber

The Bombay High Court has directed cab aggregators including Uber India and Ola to apply for a licence under Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines, 2020, to ply their cabs in Maharashtra. It is "complete lawlessness" that aggregators are operating without a valid licence, the court observed. The court has asked aggregators to apply for a new licence by March 16.
