Araghchi faces backlash from Iran's media after 'unauthorised' meeting with Witkoff in US

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi faced backlash from IRGC-affiliated media after he met US envoy Steve Witkoff on the sidelines of UNGA in New York. The meeting wasn't authorised by the country's policymaking bodies, Tasnim news agency said. "Araghchi should be held accountable before the relevant institutions," it added, calling it a "major mistake" contrary to national interests.
