ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel gets environmental clearance for Hazira plant expansion

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India announced it has received environment clearance for expansion of its plant in Hazira to 15 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) from the current crude steel capacity of 9 MTPA. The company said government's National Steel Policy would receive a big boost from the project. The venture will also help the company's own long-term capacity expansion ambitions.
