Archer Chikitha misses Asiad medal hat-trick after losing in individual quarters

Indian archer Chikitha Taniparthi missed out on a hat-trick of medals at the Asian Games 2026 after losing in the quarter-finals of the women's compound individual event on Thursday. Chikitha lost 143-144 to Indonesia's Nurisa Dian Ashrifah in the last-eight round. Notably, the 21-year-old won gold medals in the women's team and mixed team compound events on Wednesday.
