Arctic river channels changing due to climate change: Study

Arctic Canada and Alaska's rivers are flowing differently than predicted, researchers stated. Large rivers in the area migrate at slower rates under warming temperatures, unlike those in warmer climates, the study found. The researchers stressed the importance of understanding river behaviour in response to environmental changes to manage the impact of climate warming on Arctic regions.
