Arijit Singh of ‘tum hi ho’ (Aashiqui 2) fame was conferred the Best Playback Singer (Male), while Monali Thakur was chosen as the Best Playback Singer (Female) for ‘sawaar loon’ (Lootera), at the 59th Idea Filmfare Awards 2013. The award for ‘Best Music’ went to Jeet Ganguly, Mithoon & Ankit Tiwari for their work in Aashiqui 2.
