Army boxer and world champion Jaismine bags India's 7th gold at CWG 2026

World champion Jaismine Lamboria defeated Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh to win women's 57kg gold at CWG 2026, taking India's tally at the ongoing Games to seven gold medals. She made history in 2025 as the first boxer to win a World Boxing Championships gold for India. Notably, in 2022, she became the first woman boxer to join Indian Army.
