Army debunks deepfake video claiming China's control over Indian areas in Arunachal

Indian Army has debunked a deepfake video circulating on social media that falsely claimed China had taken control of areas in Arunachal Pradesh. The clip attributed fabricated remarks to Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, alleging Chinese control over Asaphila, Longju and Taksing Circle, and that the Army has been denied essential supplies. Army said the original footage dated to October 2023.
