Around 86% Indians feel voting should be made compulsory: Public poll

On National Voters' Day, location-based social network Public conducted a survey garnering 4 lakh+ responses wherein nearly 60% respondents were under the age of 30. Around 86% respondents agreed that voting makes a difference and should be made mandatory in India. Candidates' past performances (34%) and detailed research about them (31%) emerged as key deciding factors while casting a vote.
