Arrest warrant issued against Mahua Moitra in hate speech case

A West Bengal court ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant against TMC MP Mahua Moitra in an alleged hate speech case. It is alleged that she insulted women and made hateful remarks. She failed to appear in court despite repeated summons. "The series of disobedience of the order....goes to show the lackadaisical approach of the accused," the court remarked.
