Artemis II astronauts splash down after travelling farther from Earth than anyone ever
NASA's Artemis II astronauts splashed down safely in Pacific Ocean off San Diego at 5:37 am IST on Saturday, ending the first crewed mission around Moon in over 53 years. During the 10-day flight, the four astronauts travelled 4,06,771 km from Earth, the farthest any human has ever travelled. Their spacecraft re-entered atmosphere at around 40,000 kmph before splashing down.
