Artisans prepare effigies ahead of Dussehra celebrations in Jammu

Artisans in Jammu are preparing effigies of Ravana, Meghnad and Kumbhakarna ahead of Dussehra. Many of the craftsmen travel from Uttar Pradesh and belong to Hindu and Muslim communities. They spend weeks constructing the effigies using bamboo, paper and fabric, continuing a decades-old tradition passed down through generations and supported by annual orders from across the region.
