Arunachal cabinet forms panel to oversee Siang dam survey

Arunachal Pradesh cabinet approved a high-level committee to coordinate pre-feasibility survey activities for the 11,000 MW Siang Upper Multipurpose Project. Rural development minister Ojing Tasing will chair the panel. The move comes amid local opposition over displacement, land loss, and environmental concerns in Siang and Upper Siang districts.
