Arunachal Pradesh is part of India: US on China's claim

The US recognises Arunachal Pradesh as Indian territory and 'strongly opposes' any "unilateral attempts to advance territorial claims by incursion or encroachments", the US State Department said. This came after Chinese military called Arunachal its "inherent part". The Ministry of External Affairs had rejected China's claim, calling it "absurd".
