Asaram Bapu's ashram land to be acquired for 2036 Olympics: Report

The land of Ahmedabad's Asaram Ashram, owned by self-styled godman and rape convict Asaram Bapu, is likely to be acquired as India aspires to host the 2036 Olympics, Times of India reported. The ashram is very close to the under-construction Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Sports Enclave, it added. The proposed Olympic Village and sports facilities will reportedly span over 650 acres.
