Ashamed to work: Google DeepMind techie who quit over Pentagon AI deal

Sofia Liguori, a London-based engineer, resigned from Google DeepMind over the company's deployment of AI technology for US Pentagon use. She said she felt "ashamed" to work there as the firm increasingly pursued military applications. Several other employees have also reportedly resigned or are preparing to leave the AI company over concerns about its military contracts and their implications.
